no backspace or delete with Safari for Cox enhanced email
Does anyone know why or how to fix the problem that when I use Enhanced Email with Cox, my backspace key does nothing, neither can I use it to delete some text I've highlighted?
I am using Chrome (version 49) on a new iMac (with OSX 10.11.1).
And everything works fine when I use Cox "Classic Email".

Note -- problem is with Chrome browser. I will log off and on again to try it with Safari.

Known issue with Chrome and certain configurations of Adobe flash plugins. The plugin is the user interface the mailbox is built around. That plugin Chrome uses by default maps the backspace key in a way so it doesn't work. The delete key will still work, but it deletes the character in FRONT of the cursor, not behind like BACKspace. The only work around I have found is disabling the Chrome plugin and using the OS version. See here for more info.

It's probably worth adding that Safari is also a webkit browser just like Chrome and also potentially subject to this bug. Being on a Mac Firefox is also a possible alternative if you still have problems.

Here is a article I bumped into while on Google news. I dont think a update will help, but since we are talking Chrome and flash, I thought I would mention it just in case. See here for the article. Its mostly for Chrome on PC, but i think you could dig around and find something similar on a Mac.
