New Platform/ Format?

The Guide and DVR platforms for my cox cable changed two days ago. Is there a way to re-set them to the platform/format it was previously? The new Guide and DVR set up is terrible. I may as well get Directv if this is the only option Cox is going to have. Please let me know if there is a way to re-set the Guide and DVR format to what is was prior to this week. Any help would be appreciated. I have Cox specifically because the platform was more user friendly than Directv. Now it is incredibly inconvenient and unappealing.

Which DVR and IPG are you using? Have you changed DVRs in the last few days? What is a "DVR platform" ??

I got Cox cable last year and I have the same box that was given to me. I have not changed DVR's. I am unsure what IPG refers too. I don't know how to describe it other than the screen that comes up for Guide and DVR are now different from what they were two days ago. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to get it back to the old format/platform, as it was much more user friendly before. Thank you for your reply

IPG stands for "Integrated Program Guide." It's either Passport or Contour.

If you can't even specify the DVR make/model number, then I can't help you. There is an update to the Contour IPG being phased in, but it's nothing that is much different. Passport had an update a while back, but it was quite minor, too.

Get back to me when you determine the model number. Is it a Cisco, S/A, or Motorola?
