Netgear CG3000D

Recently installed this modem/router and it works great. However, I am unable to connect it to a wireless apexis ipcamera APM-j011-ws thru the rj45 modem cable and the cam works just fine using wi-fi but when i disconnect the modem cable the cam stops working and i receive a no-signal message. My pc is using windows Vista Home Premium. I did have this working OK on my old linksys router connected to an older cox cable modem. Any help would be appreciated..DG
