Netgear C6300 AC1750 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router support
I own the modem/router listed in my subject. Does anyone know when this would be approved by Cox. I emailed the manufacturer and they said it was in the process and should be available soon. Is the certification process a long one? Can I expect it to work soon or should I send it back?
Thanks!

I am also interested in upgrading to the Netgear C6300 Modem/Router. Have you swapped yours? if yes, any results to share? Thank you.

I'd say you're definitely overdue for an upgrade however I'd consider a different option until such point this particular device gets approved. There are plenty of other devices which have already been certified compatible with our network that work just as well.

Yes, I got this working and love it so far. I'm slightly unimpressed with the admin page since I switched from an Asus router which is really a great router. There was no choice that matched the model when I went through the online setup but a quick tech support call to Cox let me know that the model really doesn't matter. The main item they need is the MAC address and once that was entered everything worked great.
It's kind of an expensive modem/router but has really nice features and ac/n speed and range. My only problem is that it's like buying a tv with a built in dvd player. One's going to break first or be behind the tech curve and then you have to replace both.

The wireless gateways we offer provide a simple easy to setup all in one solution for the customer that is not necessarily interested in learning how home networks operate or wanting to set one up on their own. The gateway for example comes pre-configured with a network name and WPA2 key right out of the box so that in most cases you can simply connect the coax cable and connect your wireless devices using the information provided on the label.
