I had received my digital box about two weeks ago and installed it myself. I followed the steps as laid out on the box and programmed the remote. I had initial thought that my old box that has all my recordings on it would be going obsolete, but I have grown to figure out it isn't. I plugged my old box back up and started it back up and the only message it pulls up is IA09, googled that and it says to restart the whole modem, tried that, all i get is that message.
So this is how I have everything set up. My cable comes out of the wall and splits, one is hooked up to the NETGEAR WIFI and the other is connected to the digital receiver. The digital receiver is plugged into power and has and HDMI that goes to the TV. the old modem is plugged into power and has a HDMI going to the new digital receiver.
Any advise on how to get my old receiver and recordings to work would be greatly appreciated!!

"the old modem is plugged into power and has a HDMI going to the new digital receiver. "
Could you explain this? You have a HDMI going from a cable modem going into a cable box? What model? How? I am very confused.

the modems in the dvrs were never used you can't copy shows that way you need to record on a vcr or use a video capture device.
