myemail.cox.net/appsuite - my webmail

When i enter my password to log onto webmail, it first shows webtop.west.cox.net as it has for years.  but then it changes to myemail.cox.net/appsuite/   .   But the page never loads and i can't see my emails.  I am talking about a desktop computer.  When i saw "appsuite" i wondered if this was for smart phones only.   I can read my emails using my POP account but can't access webmail.  Can anyone explain?  I tried using Classic Webmail instead of Enhanced but it made no difference.

3 weeks ago when they  screwed up...er, "migrated" my email, i had the same problem getting to webmail on my ipad mini.  my thread was in apps forums.  i went to apple last saturday...gave up half of my afternoon... and they solved the problem.  i noticed you mentioned apple in  your 1st response and i also noticed that they've taken the solution i posted out of my thread (wtf???) so i'll share.

are you by any chance browsing in private mode?  that seems to be incompatible on apple, tho it works on a pc.  try taking that off...

that is, after today's across the board kerfluffle is cleared up!

btw, my error message today is trying to blame it on my password. it still is what it was this morning unless they changed it.

Defnitely missing the Classic interface I was using a week or two ago, for the last decade and then some that we've had cox. This new app suite is trying to fix what isn't broken, and in "fixing" things it has broken a ** load. Half the time the thing won't even load to let me access my emails! It even usually says I have 0 emails when I in fact have several in my inbox. It also always puts a check next to a random email in whatever page I'm browsing to have ready for deletion.

This is a failed idea. Go back to what works or at least give us the option to do so. KISS. Keep.It.Simple.Stupid.

Bigdodge,

Do you know if you did anything different or had any updates? Can you try clearing your cache and cookies?

It worked briefly tonight just long enough for me to get my email from today but is now doing the same thing as earlier today (communication error, the service is not available right now).

these are the web addresses I get I go here first https://idm.east.cox.net/coxlogin/ui/myemail. after logging in it goes to this page https://myemail.cox.net/appsuite/#session=and a number that I did not show as it might be my code then I in a few seconds it goes to this page and stays there for hours. https://myemail.cox.net/appsuite/# copied and pasted so there can be no errors.

Most issues that cause the forever loading 3 dot issue is either;

  • Need an up to date browser, html5 compatible (don't use IE 10 or lower as they do not play well with HTML5 which is appsuite...so IE on Windows Vista and lower is pointless-dont use it)
  • Reset IE 11 in Advanced menu (don't click delete personal settings)
  • Kaspersky....no idea why but it likes to block appsuite

Add the website to the Trusted Web Addresses list in Kaspersky with these steps.

1.Open Kaspersky.

2.Click Settings.

3.Click Protection on the upper left.

4.Click Web Anti-Virus.

5.Click Advanced Settings.

6.Click Configure trusted web pages.

7.Click on the Add button, then add http://myemail.cox.net and select Active.

8.Click on the Add button again.

So far I know at least these 3 issues that cause this, also for the kaspersky issue you could always pause protection and see if the website loads, if it does, it is Kaspersky's fault

I went ahead and went to the link that you posted: https://myemail.cox.net/appsuite/# and was able to log into my personal Cox email account without any trouble. Have you tried using a different browser? Please try clearing all cache, temp files and cookies, restart your pc/laptop and try again.

Has the missing contacts issue been resolved?  My account was switched over last week and now all of my contacts, and half of my emails are missing.  My inbox is nowhere near full.

yes cleared cache, cookies and restarted to no avail. why do I have to change browsers to satisfy a log in requirement? I use IE 11 and plan on using it until forced by Microsoft and no one else to change. I pay good money cox to have access to my email and I expect you to fix this!!! EVERY OTHER WEB SITE I VIST WORKS WITHOUT ISSUE!!!!! how else could I be posting here???

I had an agent help me on an email problem on Sep 29th and that was the first time I had heard of myemail.cox.com and the appsuite.  I was informed that my account was flagged to move over and in 24-48 hours all of my emails would be moved over.  They have not.  In the meantime the account controls for classic and enhanced do not work correctly as I have set auto forwarding up and it does not work.  This is the issue I talked to the agent about and was informed that I needed to set up forwarding on the appsuite account controls...but that doesn't work either.  Any suggestions?
