I'd recommend following the remote steps to re-program the Cox Universal remote to the receiver. https://www.urcsupport.com/cox-communications/ is a link to our website where you can find the remote and find the steps. If unplugging the power to the receiver for 20 seconds, or reprogramming the Cox remote doesn't fix the receiver function buttons, please reply back with the Model remote you have.
