Motorola sbg6580 modem firmware update.

I bought a Motorola sbg 6580 wifi modem and installed it to Cox a couple of years ago. It gave me problems and when I searched for firmware updates, Motorola indicates only the isp (cox) supplies the firmware updates. 

I'm still at ver SBG6580-3.5.8.4-GA-00-505-NOSH and I'm sure this is causing the diconnect problems i am randomly having.

How can I get the modem firmware updated?
