How do you get rid of this pop up. It comes up on every page
We recently shared the great news with you that your Cox High Speed Internet speed has increased. We would like to remind you that to take full advantage of the new and even FASTER speeds, you should upgrade your modem. A DOCSIS 3.0 modem is the proven option, and we want to ensure you have the right equipment for the speed you need.
To learn more about your equipment upgrade options, visit our online ordering site. If you have any questions or need help, please contact us at 1-866-961-0329.

Sorry we missed this one.
You should have an X to click, as I have highlighted in this sample notification:
Clicking that should take care of it and you'll be good to go.
If that X is missing or if clicking it doesn't work, you may have some ad- or script-blocker that is only partially blocking the notification. Disable all ad- and script-blockers, clear temporary files, load a different page and close the notification.
Please let us know if you need any other assistance!

How do I get rid of this pop-up, and others like it, for good? I do NOT want this on my browser - especially when I am not on any Cox related websites. I find this to be very invasive.

Are you joking? The X only makes it go away until you go to another website, where it pops up again. I'll add my voice to the chorus of users who find this incredibly irritating and who would like Cox to please explain how to make it stop.
