Modem keeps rebooting itself and poor speed. North SD County
So last night was trying to watch a movie from Amazon, and initially got an error popup stating my bandwidth was too low.
I have 100Mbps service, and was surprised to say the least. Quit app on TV and restarted it, and no error message returned.
However during the movie the modem rebooted itself like 4 or 5 times, and playback @ times was horrid video quality.
During one of the episodes a speedtest showed 60Mbps which is way below 100.
I am going to exchange the modem tomorrow, it has been rebooting itself today as well. Can the speed be improved upon.
A speed test just now showed a whopping 22Mbps...WOW blazing fast for 100Mbps service What's with the super slowness DSL was faster.

Already did both, problem was with neighbors according to tech who came out. They had 3 techs @ neighbors today, guessing they fixed the issue?
My uptime is @ 1 day 11hr+ for the first time in months.
Hopeful the issue has finally been resolved.

I looked from this end however no obvious issues are apparent when I check the modem status. Can you try testing your speeds with a wired connection and see what results you get?

I did test it last night on a wired connection, you'll never see 100Mbps on this router/modem via wireless.
@ this point I believe it is the modem/router, it rebooted itself again several times last night.
I will go exchange it, and try some more testing again today.

Achieving 100Mbps over wifi can be challenging depending on the equipment involved. You'll need at least a dual-band router and the wireless devices will need to be able to support dual-band connectivity.

Went to Cox store yesterday, line was out the door, so left. Today line was less, but still had to wait ~25 minutes to exchange the modem.
New modem seems to have resolved the slow speeds, and hopefully this one won't constantly reboot all the time.
Ethernet 100Mbps on testing WiFi ~80Mbps so MUCH better.
However phone line is not working now.
How long before system updates and I have phone service again?
Shouldn't it have come with a backup battery, pretty sure the other unit had one?

Same model I had Ubee single band, and it has slots for 2 internal batteries, but none installed.

Had to call in, tech said something about modem telephony features not built? It's working now.
Still curious about the battery, forgot to ask when they were on the phone.

So this replacement modem is also rebooting itself fairly frequently. VERY annoying to say the least. What would cause the modem to keep rebooting like this? It is pretty unlikely IMHO that 2 modems would behave this way unless there is a known issue/bug with this model.
It's a UBee DVW326 HW version 3.16.1 SW 9.30.2302 Just picked it up the other day to resolve slow speeds and constant rebooting.
Speed seems stable, but rebooting needs to stop.

I'm seeing packet loss. Is the coax line a straight connection from the modem to the cable outlet, or is there a splitter?

Please explain how packet loss would make it the modem reboot.
AFAIK Only a remote call to reboot, a hardware error, or a loss of power would do that.
It's straight connection no splitter from wall to modem, new wall jack/drop installed last install. Also helped tech run a new drop from street to house.
It just rebooted again probably up to about 5 times this morning that I have seen.

@tsaign,
Packet loss is most commonly caused by network issues such as signal problems, traffic, or routing issues. However, a hardware error can certainly cause both packet loss and modem resets. Especially if the modem is having issues sending those packets and keeps rebooting to try and restore proper service. Oddly enough, a splitter can cause the same problem with packet loss and modem resets due to poor signal loss.
Thanks,

As I stated above, no splitter inside the house. Only splitter I know of was installed by Cox when we got cable last time.
Looks like I'll need to call and have someone come out because I already wasted enough time on this.
