Mini box to combo dvd recorder

You may find the back of the Mini Box to have a Cable in and a Cable out (To TV). The coax connection from the Mini Box, can go into the Cable In on the DVD recorder, and out from the DVD recorder to the TV. If your TV, DVD recorder, and Mini Box are set to the same channel ( channel 3 or 4) it would require the devices to all be set for that channel. I'm not sure what your DVD recorder supports, but if you know the brand and model, you may share this information. 

Yes I had the same problem, went to cox. chat and they told me that the mini box in restricted and you can not record so they just want you to pay the $8 + for dvr hook up, and I have been w/ cox for 20 yrs--I feel the same, also my daughter just gave me her old flat screen, and the mini box does not work on that at all--works fine on the one I have in the living room, and to be honest, I don't need all the channels the mini box gets you, I was fine w/ the channels I had, kinda pissed because I can't record, so sent the mini box back, but when goes to all HDTV will have to get a Roku and I can watch those channels that I recorded the next day, which is why I recorded in the first place. Really pissed that I went threw so much to find out it was worthless

What issues are you having connecting the mini box to the new TV your daughter gave you? We'd like to help but we need some specifics about the actual issue in order to assist. Please reply here with a detailed description of the issues you're having.
