McAfee Anti-Spam Toolbar and Windows Live Mail 2011

I have installed the McAfee Cox Security Suite.  The Anti-Spam module works very well with Microsoft Outlook.  However, I cannot get the Anti-Spam toolbar to show in Windows Live Mail 2011.  It appears that McAfee Anti-Spam is not filtering emails in Windows Live.  Is there a way to get the McAfee Anti-Spam module to work with Windows Live Mail??

Hi SCABob,

You may have already checked these settings, but I want to be sure. On the McAfee Security Center console, click on the Web and Email Protection menu from the list of McAfee Features. Click on Anti-Spam, and then expand the Anti-spam Toolbar menu. Make sure there is only a checkmark in the Outlook Express/Windows Mail option, and then click the Apply button. You can read more about these options at http://bit.ly/McAfeeSecurityCenterSpamSettings.

Please let us know if that helps!

I did as you suggested, even rebooting after applying the settings, but it still will not work with Windows Live Email.  It seems to draw a distinction between "Windows Mail" and "Windows Live Mail".  This seems odd as Windows Live Mail is a newer version and comes with Windows 7.  I'll gladly try any other suggestions that you may have.  Thanks for the reply.

Based on Mcafee's information for the Spam Toolbar does not support Window's Live Mail for their Suite. You can locate the system requirements on their site here http://goo.gl/3MFt5U

"Supported email programs
POP3: Windows Mail, Outlook Express, Outlook, Netscape, IncrediMail, Thunderbird, Becky, Shuriken
    MAPI: Outlook
Web: MSN/Hotmail or email account with POP3 access"
