Manchester,CT Serious Internet quality issues.

Over the past 3 to 4 weeks my internet has gone down hill. More often then not it happens at night but it also happens during the day.

I play a lot of games (many different types) and my latency spikes. For example in a FPS game I will normally get 20-40ms and then it spikes to over 300-400ms.

I have done a few traceroutes and ping tests. The traceroutes show that it happens once it gets on to the cox network. Ping tests show 15% to 20% packet loss percentage.

My TV has some problems as well but that problem has been present since i moved in over a year ago. I had a cox tech out the other week and he put a small inline booster on the cablemodem/phone but this did nothing for the problem.

Can someone recommend what actions i should take to get this solved?

Thank you in advance for and help you might be able to provide.

It  might be helpful if you could go to http://192.168.100.1 in your browser and post the signal statistics listed there so we could see if any problems are evident.

I was surfing the forums i saw other people posting that info. But when i that ip address is for my router config. I cant plug directly in to my modem because my computers are all wireless and not in the same room.

That IP address shouldn't be for your router config unless you've changed your router's default settings.  It's not necessary to bypass the router to check that page but if it makes it easier that's fine too.
