Does anybody know what this means?:
live.mozillamessaging.com could not be found. Please check the name and try again...", etc.
I get it when I first boot-up T-bird and my modem (SB 6141) each morning.
Thanks.

It looks it may be tied to updates through Mozilla and most known errors deal either with a DNS routing issue or a Security Certificate being blocked. To see if its DNS related you can try pinging live.mozillamessaging.com and seeing if i gives you error or a 63.x.x.x address and can verify connectivity.

When it occurs, I cannot send/receive mail or connect with any website. Since leaving my modem powered up 24/7, problem has not re-occurred. Modem (SB6141) problem, perhaps?

First thing I notice is that link doesn't bring up a page. Should it? Did it before?
If when it happens, you can't access websites, then it sounds like it has nothing to do with the error, and the error is occuring because of the connection problem. When it happens, do the lights change on the modem at all? Can you ping out?

If you're asking me, I have no idea what live.mozillamessaging.com is. That's why I asked here. Best guess is that it is a site that is accessed each time Thunderbird is opened. Never had this problem until my SB6141 was pushed the newest firmwear. No, the modem lights don't change.

From everything I can gather, its a common problem with Thunderbird and shouldn't affect service. See here. The fact that I can't bring up the website either shows that something is wrong with the website. I don't see how it can be related. Is it possible your computer takes a couple minutes after starting it up to be online?
