iPhone setup of secondary email account

One of my secondary email accounts will not set up on my iPhone. It says the user I'd or password are invalid. I have changed the password and still get the same message. I have set up my main cox email account and one of my secondary email accounts successfully.

Is it the secondary email address you mentioned in your other thread? If so, I would wait until its transfered. If you haven't used it in a while it may be disabled for inactivity.

If it isn't that email address, try logging into webmail.cox.net with the same username and password.

Thank you for the suggestion.

First, this secondary email is not the one I referred to in the other thread (how to transfer to a new main account)

This secondary email is on my main account. I have set up the primary email and one secondary email on my iPhone and iPad

This second secondary email is the issue. I am able to log into the webmail.cox.net

Using the second secondary password a

When trying to load to iPhone I get this nessage

Unable to get mail. The user name or password for IMAP.cox.net Does not exist.

Interesting. So its not even checking the password, its saying the user itself doesn't exist. Make sure your only using the username, and NOT the email address. So if your email was helper@cox.net, then you would want to use helper.

Also, do you have anything else(PC, Ipad, etc) set up with that user? I wonder if there could be a issue with IMAP and POP3 trying to sync to the server at the same time. Maybe try resetting the password so you know the iphone is the only one connected at the time.

Last, this is a long shot, but check the date and time on the Iphone. Just throwing that error messages into google showed some issues with Iphones syncing with Imap servers if their time or date is wrong.
