Internet
I have noticed that my internet has been slower than normal lately, and when I log into my account online it has a message stating that my service is interrupted. I have reset my modem many times and called in for service, which they performed a reset but said that although it may say interrupted online, it definitely was working. I am wondering if there are any other steps that can be done to check my service?

Does any of this describe what you're seeing?

I'm not seeing any outages linked to your account so I think you're getting that message in error. I did check the modem and that seems OK from this end. Can you try connecting a PC directly to the modem and testing your speeds that way?

I just ran it and got 143.82 now. My guess is I would be getting closer to 300. What would cause that error to show on my account?

The error you mentioned is something we're still investigating from this end. Do you have the PC connected directly to the modem now so I can check the Ethernet status?

I don't have a PC, rather I have a Mac.

I have an Ubuntu machine directly attached to the network now.
Current download
Download: 64.13 Mbit/s
Current upload
Upload: 33.45 Mbit/s
Update:
Download: 294.91 Mbit/s
Upload: 37.41 Mbit/s
But the account still shows service interruption.

Have checked all my connections. All is tight no damage. Account still shows interrupted. And bandwidth varies depending on the day.

Speedtest results
download 200 Mbit/s
upload 325 Mbit/s
download was 23Mbit/s when I got home from work so I rebooted all my equipment and brought them up individually in order starting with the modem.

Additionally, there are now lots of errors on my modem event logs.
I removed the MAC addresses

Latest test
http://www.dslreports.com/tools/puma6
150 - 199ms :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
200 - 249ms :xxxxxx
250 - 299ms :xxx
Finished. Excess red is a concern if most measurements are 50ms or less.

Are you able to post or email us at cox.help@cox.com with a trace route to one of the sites you are seeing the latency spikes to too see if we can narrow down where in the routing the issue may be stemming from? ---

I read through that, and it is pretty accurate for what i am seeing. The difference is I have a local DNS caching server which was masking some of the latency, and is probably why the network seems slow when I get home but after some use it appears to speed up.
I will add that I have seen an improvement since the firmware update. I have posted the latest results below.
Is there a timeline when Gigablast will be available in my area? I know fiber has been run to the pedestal in front of my house. A competitor offers it but not at the same speeds as I can get from Cox.
