Internet still slow and constant outages

(Update to previous post, which was unresolved and appears to be locked now - http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/5/t/12981.aspx)

We are still experiencing slow connections and disconnects all day, and sometimes complete outages around the 6am timeframe. I finally had a chance to purchase a new modem to eliminate this being one of the final potential problems. Still no improvement in speeds or outages over the last few weeks. I was informed by an agent during the setup of my new modem that Cox was increasing our speeds from 100Mbps to 150Mbps in the next week. This would be great if I could get even 1/3rd of that speed at a consistent and solid rate.

A tech has replaced the wiring with direct runs to the outside, no splitters. Still issues. I then purchased a new router (ASUS RT-N66R), because I was told that might be the cause. Still issues. Replaced modem (SB6181 to SB6183). Still issues. I've thrown over $400 at this (not including earnings lost when I cannot work at home when the internet is slow, down or constantly disconnecting) with tech visits and new equipment purchases trying to fix what I have always suspected is a problem outside of the house.

My Premier internet was just down again this morning. Now that I am able to connect, here are the speed tests.

Speetest.net results:

Cox pre-login tool results:

Cox post login tool results:

I'm not sure why the Cox pre and post login speed test tools always report such vastly different results, when they were run at the exact same time. These are tests run directly connected to the new modem, at a time frame advised by a Cox agent as the best time of day to test.

There was an outage the other night around midnight and shortly after it came back online I was getting almost 200Mbps in all tests, until the rest of the neighborhood was back online. I'm not familiar with all of the technical terms, but it seems to me our node is overloaded or someone is backfeeding a bunch of noise into the area.

I don't need another tech visit, I need someone to come out and fix whatever it is outside the house that is causing the problem. I've been dealing with this for months now and as I stated in my original post I will lose my job if I cannot maintain a solid highspeed internet connection.

Good luck, been having the same problem with dropped internet but my speeds are still where they should be when connected... been going on for about a yr and noticed it act up again just after the time change again. Sometimes when it's on a roll maybe 15x a day, replaced a router last yr, worked great for a few hrs and then same thing, couldn't call because I lose my phone connection also. Upgraded to Premier, a guy came out, did what he needed to do, showed us it was working and the speed via OOKla and we were happy... Started up again a few weeks later.... did the disconnect, reboot thing, sometimes it would work, sometimes not so mostly waited until it would connect again.  We're close to 60 so I enjoy playing games and we need a phone connection mostly for work and emergencies... Prime example, wife had a work related accident, fell off a platform and broke her pelvis, I'm sitting here aggravated because of the lost connection while in the middle of a phone conversation and her work is trying to call here to let me know what happened, meanwhile she's being taken to the hospital via ambulance.   I've been told it looks good on their end, .. asked if I have power / surge protectors connected to outlets which could be the problem to workers testing video. One tech said he notice i wasn't connected and I replied when I got the message, " No kidding it was offline".  They did try to help and I admit I was short at times because you pay for a service and you expect that service... Worked good after the complaints but still goes out 2x+ daily, got tired of unplugging, unhooking and waiting and redo all over again and wait a few reboots for it to start... Now it drops and all my lights on modem stay lit as if connected!  Started this after my last complaint that I was dissatisfied.  Disgusted of doing the "routine" I just disconnected the cable from wall to modem and not really expecting anything after about 30 seconds I connected the cable to the modem and it was connected.   better that doing the "routine" best help I can offer.... Went out and bought a cell phone, at least that's dependable, and the wife's happier.  Good Luck

I looked at the modem from this end and it seems to be reporting poor signal on all of the upstream channels.  Are there any splitters you can try bypassing to see if there is improvement?

Considering the totality of everything that has been going on with your services through this I'd say it's probably time to see about having a technician come out and troubleshoot further.
