internet password reset
I have a ubee device. Both Cox and Ubee don't seem to have any idea how to help me. Ubee tells me to talk to Cox tech support, Cox tech support tells me to call Ubee. I just need to change the password so that people will stop accessing my internet that I pay for but can not basically use.....Give me answers before the world is set on fire.

I don't like threats. Set the world on fire please.
Once you have calmed down, and given a model number, then I may be able to help. Until then, try some herbal tea.

LOL. Ok first step, put out the fire.
1. Launch an Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer, from your computer.
2. Enter the following IP address in the address bar of the browser window and press the
Enter key.
http://192.168.100.1
3. Enter the username and password in the authentication dialog box.
Standard User Web Interface Login:
Username: user
Password: user
4. Click OK. The Status>Software screen (shown below) displays software information
about the DDW366.
5. Click on "Wireless" option along top, then "Primary Network" along left side.
6. Change the "WPA Pre-shared Key" to what ever you want your Wifi password to be. I suggest something atleast 8 characters.
See page 70-72 of manual for more info.

Its the same IP for everyone with that device, but might be different if you have another router or gateway. Its either always going to be 192.168.100.1, 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1 unless you have something custom. All stand alone modems are 192.168.100.1, its the gateways that are tricky. If none of those work, reply with your model number and I will be happy to look it up.

So I tried multiple times to change mine as well but I wasn't successful. I was wondering if you could possibly help me as well. The modem I have is Netgear Wireless Cable Gateway CG3000D and the name(ssid) is E15D3C.
Thank you so much!!

Where is it failing? Are you able to access the login?
To log in to the gateway:
1. On the computer that is connected to the gateway with an Ethernet cable, type http://192.168.0.1 in the address field of your Internet browser.
2. Log in with the user name admin and its default password of password. When you connect to the gateway the Gateway Status screen displays.
3. In the main menu, under Setup, select Wireless Settings to display this screen.
4. Choose "WPA2-PSK[AES]" and then fill in a 8-63 character password in the "passphrase" field. Something easy to remeber and hard to guess.
5. Click Apply
See page 8,11-12 of manual for more info.

When you say you tried several times and was unsuccessful...what exactly happens when you try to change it? Do you get an error?
