Internet connection keeps dropping

Everyday I have to reset my modem because it loses connection. I have already called regarding this issue and was told that I may have bought a bad modem, so I replaced that modem and things were good for about a week and then it started again. Reading through some other questions, it seems that others have the same problem as I have been having. I don't understand why I pay $50.00 a month for something that has to be reset everyday! My modem is connected to Wifi.

The simplest thing that can be done to better try and isolate the problem is to try temporarily bypassing the router and seeing if you continue to have problems with a wired connection directly to the modem.  Depending on whether or not the situation improves with that configuration we can determine how best to troubleshoot further.

Mine quit completely Tuesday at 2:30  in the Pembroke/Witchduck area of VA Beach--- TV and Phone went down too, but they are back.  I weaved through the help phone to be told we had a problem in our area. Any thoughts about what is up and when it will be back?

I looked from here and everything appears to be fine.  If you're still having problems and haven't done so already I'd suggest powering off the modem and router then powering them back on in the same order making sure the modem is in a ready state before powering on the router.
