Internet Connection keeps dropping off

We started facing internet connection issues several times at our home. We tried to re-set our modem and router but connection keeps dropping off frequently. We also called COX customer service and getting recorded message saying "some work is going on your area". We also tried to get hold of someone in person to talk over the phone and explained the issue but got response back that "yes, some work is going on and we are working on it". After asking how long will it take to get the connection back but no positive response or exact time from customer service. My wife works from home and couple of times she has to use personal phone connection with extra payment in order to continue the work. We are planning to look around any other service provider and get the stable connection unless we get assurance from COX on connection. In the same price we might get good deal with some other service.

I am also having connection problems. T3 and T4 time-outs.

I lose connections approx. every 15-20 minutes, and then it will come back on for about and hour or so then lose connections once again.

That does not sound good at all. Is there a splitter on the cable line going to the modem?

Yeah I have the same issue, for me it only happens from midnight to 6:30 am, after 6:30am the connection is rock solid with low latency and fast speeds, once midnight rolls around again, it starts disconnecting and it can disconnect every few minutes to every couple of hours. Its been doing this for the last couple of months and it really wouldn't be an issue since most people sleep during those hours, but I am not most people.

Are you doing anything in particular when you notice the lags?  Are you playing a game or is it just normal web browsing?  -Derrick
