Interesting  Have any more info on the Gigablast service? Is it a new tier or just a higher data cap?

I have a feeling it will be where ever Google is. 

So it's the same price as Ultimate... interesting. Is that $99.99 a promotional rate, Tiffany, or the regular retail rate?

Or where Century Link deploys fiber.   We already have fiber deployed in Vail (new subdivision out side of Rita Ranch, (Tucson)) My ONT is provisioned for 1 Gig already, they just need to turn up the service from 100 down 50 up.   I would love to see cox turn up 1 gig here as well as Google fiber to come into the neighborhood.

I don't think you will ever see Century Link and Cox competing for the same territory. You don't see cable companies in general competing against each other because only one of them can use the cable/fiber lines at once.

CenturyLink AZ is a Telco (formerly Mountain Bell), and does directly compete with Cox in Arizona and Las Vegas.

While most of CenturyLink's copper was laid in the 60's, 70's and 80's they are upgrading and deploying new fiber.

I don't think it is just coincidental that both CenturyLink's first 1Gig residential fiber deployment is directly next door to Cox's first announced 1Gig deployment in Scottsdale, AZ
