We recently moved into a new house and I asked Cox to switch my stuff over from my old house to my new one. After them coming out on three different occasions everything still isn't working right! Everything was working fine at my old house but now I am about ready to drop them and go to CenturyLink. First they said I needed a new modem and router (although again, they were working fine before!) so I went ahead and bought the new ones they brought in and installed but things are still not working the right way. I am having problems getting on to my VPN to log in to my work account. I have lost 2 days of work because of it and I spent the entire day on the phones today betwween Cox, Netgear, McAfee, my own IT Dept., and Dell. I finally called Dell (when I was about ready throw my laptop against the wall and almost in tears) just to see if they could do anyting for me. I ended up buying a $239 package so they could troubleshoot it and they were able to fix the VPN issue but said there is something definitely wrong with the router that Cox installed last week. Everytime I restart my laptop I have to reset the router in order for my laptop to recognize it. Has anyone else experienced problems like this? Should I tell them I want a different router? I have the Netgear N300...
