HULU app not working on my 3rd generation apple tv
My HULU app quit working on my 3rd generation Apple TV. I tried logging out & reset my Apple TV. I called HULU customer support and they asked if I was from Phoenix and had Cox Internet. They said it was a problem occurring with Hulu app on Apple tvs with customers who used Cox internet. Could you give me some guidance about what to do and when this problem will be fixed?

What do you mean by "quit working"? Does the app not open? Give some kind of error? I did a quick search on google and don't see any major reports of problems. Do other apps like Netflix work? Did they give any data other then what you said? Sounds like a brush off to me.

Hi 3boys,
Thanks for reaching out to us through the Cox Forums! We're happy to help investigate what's happening with your HULU app. We need a bit more data, however. What happens when you try to open the HULU app on your Apple TV? Does the app open? Do you get an error? Do other Apple TV apps work successfully? Are you able to stream music, movies, and TV shows from your iTunes library?
The HULU "Help Center" suggests the following:

Becky, the instructions you posted are for iOS devices like the iPad or iPhone, not the Apple TV. The Apple TV doesn't have a power button, you reset it by removing power. Also, the just released Apple TV 4 is the only ATV device using the App Store. The first three generations don't have access to it so you can't delete and re-download the app. The apps of the 1st thru 3rd gen are fixed and not removable, all you can do is hide them from the screen if you don't want some to display.
As Tech said, we need more info from the OP in order to help. At this point, all I can recommend is to power cycle the device and check to be sure you have a good network connection. From the ATV main menu select Settings/General/Network. From there you can run a network test to an Apple server. Please let us know if your device passed the Network Test.

Hi Allen,
Thanks for correcting me. That's what happens when I try to pull "generic" troubleshooting information for a device I've never used before!

I know what you are up against, Becky. It's tough to troubleshoot a device you have never used and don't have one to test with. I added an Apple TV 3 to our home theater a couple of years ago ... for the grandkids. They must have their fill of Pokemon and My Little Pony while they are here
