Both our internet and cable are out, but I can't find where to report an outage on the Cox site. I tried waiting on the phone, but that was getting ridiculous.
There is no official online location. Its either here, one of the other Cox related (but not official) forums or call. Even when they had the site to declare outages a few years back there was no way to report one. Good idea though. Crowdsourcing is really powerful.
What area is the outage? And how do you know its a outage as compared to just your service not working?
They used to have a form in the support area--the sole reason I'm here & registered for forums. Couldn't find a way to report outage online either.
My Interwebs have been down since about 8:30pm. Assume it's storm related. Midtown Ohmygawd, NE. Called, but hold time was getting ridiculous. Taking that as a sign that it is, in fact, an outage.
I totally forgot the email option. Not to get too noisey, but how often does Cox check that inbox? Real time, once a hour, once a day, etc? Im sure it differs based on how busy you guys/women are, but in general?
The reason I ask is because Im actually having my own small problem. Long story short; intermittent latency and modem resets. Checked my and Neighbors modem and it looks like the signal levels dropped by about 3-5dh across the board, but my SNR stayed the same. I also saw a technician at my neighbors house who was reporting severe tiling. I called up and asked them to check my modem's signal history and others on my street and was told "we can't do that" when I know for a fact that they can....hence my username. Can we use that email to escalate to someone who isn't bogged down by AHT and just wants to roll a truck for me? Or is it just for wide spread full outages?

Looks like something is happening in NE. And where was this form before? News to me and I have searched all around before.

Once the moderators see this thread they can report the outage for you, but they likly already know. Any power issues like outages or brown outs?
