Horribly Slow Upload Speeds
I just wanted to point out that my roommate and I (who has his own cable modem on a roommate account) are both experiencing horribly slow upload speeds throughout most of the day. Starting from maybe 1pm til 5am the next day, we each see upload speeds of less then 200kbps. I have seen it as low as 90kbps. I have called support who go through the simple "restart this and clear cache that" and walk me through their troubleshooting handout that each representative is given.
I do have a technician coming out but still, I notice on the forum here I am not the only one that's experiencing it. What is going on Cox?! What good is saying your doubling speeds if I'm actually getting mine and others are getting reduced back to the dialup days.
edit: here's a copy from speedtest (which isn't the best place to test speed)

here's another from a different speed testing website testmy.net earlier in the day

Yes I've done that as well and it does not work. Here's other tests done today.

Taken with them off. I am not the only one in Las Vegas experiencing these problems.

It is not just me. I am also experiencing disconnects now as well.

I've been seeing similar issues for the last two days. It started later in the evening yesterday.
To note, there is no router in between my machine and the computer I am testing on, and it is over a wired connection. Moreover, it looks like three of my upload channels are advertising 5120Kysm/sec, but one is advertising 2560.

Seems I've just lost half of my downstream bandwidth as well. Upload remains the same.

Running ping google.com -t for a minute gives a steady return between 17-21ms. Min 19, max 28, avg 20ms. Sounds about right.
Tracert to google completes to their lax pop (looks like) at lax02s20-in-f7.1e100.net (74.025.224.135). No drops. For review:

I will be leaving for much of tonight and Saturday; I'll return here with any updates I find Sunday afternoon.

I looked again and I'm not seeing any further indications of a problem either. Please let us know if you continue to experience trouble.

So after the technician left everything seemed to return to normal, for at least most of the day. then
the speedtest.net took too long to complete an upload.

As a result of having to rearrange furniture, I've had to go to a USB wireless NIC which changed the setup a bit; I'll be testing with an ethernet cable tomorrow. However:
Things are looking up. I'll post a follow up tomorrow once I have the same network connection re-established.

I doubt you'd consider this prime time so what's going on with the speed?
