Home Page

Hate your new home page.  It takes too many steps to do what I could do in one step before.  Please change it back.

Hi khansford, We can provide feedback to our web developers. Were you able to shorten the time by going to our website, https://www.cox.com/residential/home.html and bookmark the pages to save time?

I hate it too. Too much junk news on it. Bring back the old one or give us something that's less cluttered. Changing my settings to something else until Cox finds solution.

sewgone,

Are you navigating to https://www.cox.com/residential/home.html or another web address?
Clicking on My Account to the right (where the sign in box is) lists all of your account options. My Connection shows you news, tv online, common tool links and the Learn section.

What happened to the video news articles (typically AP News) and especially the "History This Date" link?

If I may recommend that next time you completely update a screen, like the new homepage, you at least give your customers some notice (30 days would be nice). And not just one day you log in and bingo new screen view. Maybe not providing notice you avoid constructive feedback????

I believe the change to the page is for the better. The container script seems to be written in HTML5 instead of flash, which is a huge improvement. Also, their site performance went up on webpagetest.org. The design looks like it would work on tablets better, and seems to be best at 720p. I only use Cox.net for 2 things, pay my bill and change email account settings, and for that it works great now.

Now if only they could apply that kind of upgrade to this forum. I want SMF!  Its freeeeeee

Can you are anyone tell me where I can find sport stats (i.e. team standings, scores, team stats, etc.) for MLB, NFL, College Football, etc.).  When I enter on Sports it now just provides sport articles. The old home page gave you the option to pick MLB, NFL, College, Golf, etc.

When I finally reached a Cox support rep. on the phone they didn't know either (this was after being cut off 3 times). HELP!!!!!

Hi Fletcher,

It sounds like you've found http://myconnection.cox.com/category/nationalsports/ on our website. At this time, there haven't been any updates to the sports stats to our website. We can forward this information to our developers for review.

Thanks for your response. Good to know someone does read customer questions in the Forum.  When you send this to your web developers, who are apparently not into sports or they would not have overlooked updating the sports stats when they updated your website, please ask them for a time frame when they think sport stats will be updated so you can at least provide us paying customers feedback. And most of all "where will the stats be located in the website?"

Also, please disregard my post on Oct 1. I found the video news articles under My Connection / Watch TV Online.

Sorry to dampen your expectations but when they say they're forwarding your suggestion to their web developers or their technical team or whatever other imaginary friends they have it's basically going down a black hole, never again seeing the light of day.

The tech side does not communicate their intentions with the customer relations side. They get their direction from the bean counters. And they have determined that whatever's good for Cox's bottom line is good for the consumer.
