help with cisco modem password

ok I hooked up the Ethernet cord to my laptop, open up the browser and now its asking for log in. I used admin and guest but its not working Help please.

My niece decided to give the neighborhood our password that is on the back of the modem. How can I change the password?

Just leave both fields blank and click on Login. Logging in doesn't get you anything more though, unless its a DPQ3212, then it gets you some minor phone info. If its a DPC3010 logging in shows you the exact info as not logging in. Why this is, is a boring story.

With the Cisco 3825's the default login information would be left blank for the user name and password fields. If you have problems logging in with them blank its likely someone has changed it and would need to be reset to factory settings.
