HDHomerun and CableCard pairing (Omaha area)
Hi There,
I saw some other forum posts regarding this topic. I think my CableCard needs to be reprovisioned and paired. The issue is some of my subscribed stations aren't working and the HDHomerun status indicates they aren't authorized.
HBO 1300
Virtual Channel | 1300 HBO E H |
Frequency | 685.750 MHz |
Program Number | 4 |
Authorization | not-subscribed |
CCI Protection | none |
CGMS Protection | none |
Modulation Lock | qam256 |
PCR Lock | locked |
Signal Strength | 93% (-4.4 dBmV) |
Signal Quality | 100% (35.8 dB) |
Symbol Quality | 100% |
Streaming Rate | 6.896 Mbps |
Resource Lock | 192.168.1.6 |
The HDHomerun interestingly reports as follows: (note the card validation is missing).
Status
Card Authentication | success |
Card OOB Lock | success |
Card Validation | none |
Tuning Resolver | ready |
Here's my CableCards info:
CableCARD ID: 000-058-289-183-4
Host ID: 064-320-793-459-4
Data: 126-388-642-93
Can you guys help me out?
Thanks much

Update on this - I just called cox support and had them redo the pairing for my CableCard. Took about 15 mins on the phone - not too bad.

In case you haven't done it already, try rebooting the tuning adapter. When I lose channels on my Samsung Smart Media Player (GX-SM530CF), I have had success by unplugging the TA and disconnecting the USB cable to the Media Player. When the TA light stops flashing and is steady after 10+ minutes, I reconnect the USB cable and the missing channels are once again available. I don't know if this helps you with your device, but it fixes my Media Player when it loses channels.

Hey Ed,
I wish the fix for this was as simple as rebooting the HDhomerun and TA. Definitely not, though. I think the CableCard needs reprovisioned from a Cox. Help me, Cox tech!
