HDHomeRun Activation Problem
I am trying to get an HDHomeRun Prime unit activated with my local Cox office, without much luck. I have set up the unit with a Motorola CableCARD and tuning adapter, and I have gone through the pairing process several times with the Cox call center. Card ID, Host ID, and Data ID all match up.
A tech has made one visit, but I'm guessing he was a contractor--he didn't seem to know anything about the HDHomeRun, and he didn't even ask about the status of the tuning adapter. A bit frustrating to say the least.
Here is where things stand: After repeated attempts to activate the CableCARD/Tuning Adapter, and after repeated channel scans following each attempt, my channel list doesn't include the channels that I am subscribed to. Instead, I get a couple of random channels that aren't in my subscription, and about 30 radio channels.
The HDHomeRun shows CableCARD/Tuning Adapter status as follows:
Card Authentication: success
Card OOB Lock: success
Card Validation: none
Tuning Resolver: ready
The card was showing as validated until my last call to Cox tech support. Apparently, the last CSR tried to re-pair the card and neglected to validate it. I can fix that with a phone call.
The CableCard reports its status as follows:
Card Manufacturer: Motorola
Card Authentication: success
Card Validation: none
3DES encryption: supported
OOB Frequency: 75.250 MHz
OOB Lock: 2.048 Mbps
Signal Strength: 93% (-4.8 dBmV)
Signal Quality: 100% (38.3 dB)
Channel List: tuning-resolver
The Tuning Adapter reports its status as follows:
Authentication: success
Downstream: success
Upstream: success
Operational Status: ready
However, when I look at the tuning adapter's status pages, here's what I see:
12/16/15 02:44:08 HAL:
OOB Lost Lock
12/15/15 02:25:52 HAL:
OOB Lost Lock
12/14/15 20:12:51 HAL:
OOB Lost Lock
No Date/Time, SDVComm:
PSOC did not initialize!

No Date/Time, SDVComm:

Obviously, the lack of cable card validation is a problem, but one that is easily fixed. Where I'm really having problems is with the tuning adapter. I don't know the meaning of the error message about PSOC not initializing, but I suspect it's related to my problem.
I have gone over the HDHomeRun's logs with Silicon Dust Tech support, and they believe the HDHR is working correctly. They see an activation problem, and I'm inclined to agree.
Any help from Cox, or another HDHR Prime user on this board, would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get the system properly paired, validated, and activated.

"OOB Lost Lock"
It looks like your card is loosing OOB lock. Probably a issue with your transmit levels. Is there somewhere in the HDHomerun that will tell you OOB strength or power level? The "Signal Strength" mention above is for the IB or downstream signal. Looking for something in the 30-50's. If not, do you have a modem you can put on that outlet to get a better reading of signal levels? Modems have a 192.168.100.1 diagnostics which can almost be used as a meter.
