Downloads stop

Hello, I have an issue where my downloads stop. I cant seem to download a file. Streaming TV stops, yet speedtest.net show 117 Down & 11 Up. I have upgraded my modem to a Surfboard ,SB6183, my router to a Linksys WRT1900AC, increased my cox account for faster bandwidth, and even replaced a couple of 5-port Gigabyte switches, yet I am still in network heck. With all this, I should be screaming. Yet wired or wireless, a 500 Meg file is beyond my reach. I am open to ideas, Thanks for the suggestions

I'd start off first by trying to isolate as many variables as possible and make the problem as easy as possible to troubleshoot.  Can you duplicate the issue with a single connected directly to the modem for starters?

Its interesting that you say you have several switches. How are they connected to your network? What kind of switches are they?

I have three Linksys Gigabyte switches feeding different areas of the house. Prior to WiFi, I ran CAT5 throughout the house.

I disconnected all of the CAT5 cables from my router and was able to download without issue. I then plugged in each  segment one at a time, downloading between each segment.

The issue turned out to be an AdTrap (http://www.getadtrap.com/) device I added to the network sometime ago. It must of flaked out because as soon as I introduce it to the network, download fails, remove it and all is well.

Network is happy once again.
