Downgrade or cancel service

I got into cox, thinking it was a good service and affordable but little did I know, it *ucks so bad. The internet started out fine then turned into the worst, I got my phone plan (which I was informed by their sells person included unlimited long distance) and started receiving a extra charge of $50 a month on three of my bills, found out that he set my long distance up as limited and to change it over I had to pay even more money, oh and I was responsible for all extra charges. I feel like I signed up with a bunch of crooks but to be honest, most crooks will at least tell u that their going to rob u, unlike cox. When I signed up for cox, I was told that my bill would be about $180 a month for the bundle, never was, after they signed me up, they bend me for $220 a month. I hate this service and just want to leave, unfortunately I am under these crooks contracts, how do I just downgrade everything in my bundle to the bear minimum and ride out the crooks contracts. Never again, don't be fooled by their b.s...

What was the point of this post?  Found it. Your best bet is to talk to Cox's retention department. They will have the best deals if they want to keep you as a customer. If you wanted to troubleshoot, make a new thread with details.

If you're under contract, or in a Price Lock with Cox, any changes to cancel or reduce service will incur a penalty.  I wouldn't know what your penalty would be, but you should compare it to just sticking with it.

As far as your Internet being the worst, could you describe the problem and the make/model of the equipment you have, such as modem, router, gateway?
