after some troubleshooting reset router and modem to factory default tried old worn out modem that gets hot and losses connection after a while reset it to factory default too same thing happens have the modem connected directly  to my pc right now still same old thing same problem as before the factory reset on both modems and router must have took 1 hour for it to get past Establish IP Connectivity using DHCP going to restart pc to see what happens hope i can reconnect to the internet  even if its so slow and very unstable

The log appears to have issues with the modem timing out trying to sync. The signal currently seems to be normal however. When it is resetting are the lights on the modem going down or flashing when that occurs after your resetting?

they flash as they go down the one before the last one flashes and the last light goes off and the whole process repeats and takes a few hours to work right  went down again last night

You had mentioned a splitter. Is this inside the home between the wall and the modem? Are you able to bypass the splitter and have a direct line to the Modem and report the findings?

tried different splitters  and tried bypassing the inside splitter  problem went away for a little while after i put it back like it used to but the problem just keeps coming back got a new modem arris sb6183 to see if a brand new modem would fix the problem did all the steps waited for the ativation page to open like it did a few years ago when i opened a browser nothing happened so i entered the link my self didnt work hooked the current modem back up went back to the website just cox oops ** went i put the new modems info in dont want to call the will charge to activate it you  hook it up they just sit in their work space hit a few buttens charge you $50.00 to activate it

These are from the original modem correct? I tried to check the signal levels and the modem appears to be offline. Were you trying to add the new one? If you're having trouble activating a new modem we can do that for you.

Very sick dad just told me the TV has been going out at night and morning the same time the internet goes out at now its just very slow and unstable during the days this started happening after you worked on the lines near the highway or its the same old problem we have every so often so it has to be on your end i did see the TV artifact today.

Had mom call got a appointment setup for yesterday they never showed up so she called again they said they came into my home installed a NEW modem so she called again after awhile this time they said they where outside my home so i checked the wires nothing was touched might get billed for work that was not done and a new modem i'm going to move my money to my cards vault so cox can't take anything internet still unstable guess what went down again okay money in they vault so cox can't steal from me need to see what internet plans AT&T has and maybe TV don't want the TV part but boss does only helpful part of cox support seems to be you guys on the forums eta on when this will work right because phone support really pissed my mom off it was funny to see they are stupid as usual so when is it going to get fixed got another appointment for Monday or will i get billed for another new modem i didn't authorised which is not cool at all well they said the came into my home installed a brand new modem so i guess going to get billed for one right internet hasn't been up for long need to see what AT&T has instead of having money stolen from cox because this is ** really i had one of you people activate a modem for me that i installed i know that for sure and trouble shooting more then one time so yup cox forums support is the only smart ones it seems yup they are stating to think this problem will never get fixed was told to hold off on the FCC complaint might end up filing a complaint to the BBB too billed for a brand new modem came into my house installed a new modem problem solved such *** **

I'm seeing lots of packet loss when I check the modem from this end. It may be time to see about rescheduling that service visit for a tech to come troubleshoot further.
