I was one of the employees beta testing these devices.  It was my understanding that these were Cox gateways and could not be put into bridged mode.  If that feature does exist we were not told nor do we support it.  That would defeat the purpose of installing it as a gateway.  In either case it would be pointless to put a gateway into bridged mode since cable modem are already available for that purpose.  If you got the gateway from us recently you should be able to return it if you're wanting or needing to use a traditional cable modem in a bridged configuration.

Hi langgin26, do you own the device or is it a Cox owned piece of equipment, like a monthly rental?

The Cox provided wireless gateways cannot be configured for bridge mode.  You'll need to replace the device with a stand alone modem if you do not wish to use it as a router.
