Data Usage
Is there anyway that I can see how much data I have used in a billing cycle? I have looked all over my account online and can't seem to find anywhere to view it.

This can actually be found by signing into your account at http://www.cox.net , going to Internet Tools, and clicking Data Usage Meter under Account Management.

Hi FSUAce,
Did Chris's response answer your question? Just in case, I thought I'd provide this link on how to access the Cox Data Usage Meter.

You need to look at the other Posts concerning data-usage and the inconsitant update for individuals who rely on monitoring their data usage... It appears this "tool" is not that accurate, if it is not being maintained or kept up-to-date...
I found this out for myself when I logged in after midnight, tonight as my billing cycle ends on the 29th and it has not flipped over yet...

No offense to Becky and Chris, but the Cox data use meter SUCKS. It's behind by 2 to 3 days, and it's wildly inaccurate. On days when my family has streamed movies from Netflix all weekend and my router reports the big bag of gigabytes used, the meter will report little usage. On other days when we haven't been on the net, it'll report 30 to 90 gigs used.
I know it's not a matter of a neighbor using my connection. I have security on my router (long password, registered mac addresses) and have monitored my logs. I do network security for a living.
A big problem that Cox refuses to address is that the data usage monitor is NOT accessible from anywhere except a Cox.net account. Which means I can't check my usage (according to Cox) from a 4G connection or work internet.
Routers report usage real time. The website data meter should never be behind more than 24 hours, and not even that.
