I'm a user on the Premier package and have exceeded my 'usage cap' the past 2 months or so, mostly due to roommate and myself working from home and streaming media. Every time I've gone to check where we are on usage, I get the message" Your Data Usage Meter is undergoing maintenance. Please try again in 24 hours."
I really wish this data cap would go away for internet packages over 15mbs, as a well connected home such as mine can blow through 250GB in a week or two. If I had a stay home wife or teenager I'd be in even worse shape. For the fees we pay for this service, there shouldn't be a limit on how much data we can use. Even if it is a 'Soft limit'
With the 2X speed increases that are coming, it just means we can hit that 'limit' quicker.

I too have the premier package.
I do a bit of video editing and with transferring video files back and forth have on a couple of occasions run over on the data cap over the last few years.
I've made it a habit to check the meter every few days to make sure I stay under the cap if I end up with day where I blow thru a bit more of my allowance.
It's been at least 2 weeks (including a billing cycle roll over for me) and every time i get the same "maintenance" message you are seeing.
I've been checking the forums and haven't seen too many people asking questions about it., which makes me wonder is it an isolated incident or is this "maintenance" widespread.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to start paying for any overages, but I don't see the point of having a data cap if you aren't going to associate a penalty with it.
And it's extremely funny that Cox is hyping this "Double Speed" thing if all it's going to do is allow people to blow past their data cap faster. Where's the benefit for the customer in that?
