Cox's Internet keeps dropping, poor service
I have the service Cox High-Speed Internet - Premier Package and lately it has been horrible, really poor. I work as a technical translator, I interpret video conferences for Law firms, Engineering meetings, Medical Congresses and so on live. I pay a lot for that service and it doesn't matter that I have high speed internet if it keeps dropping every 5, 10 minutes, it's been happening in the last 2 weeks. It's outrageous, unlawful and unfair. I need a fast connection and I have that but I keep losing that fast connection while I'm working it so it's just useless. I was in the middle of an important meeting yesterday and embarrassed myself by keep getting disconnected. Cox is hurting my work and hurting me financially. When I watch Amazon movies I keep getting disconnected too. I used to have a very good ethernet cable and I thought maybe that was the problem. I bought a better one and the problem continued. I keep getting disconnected when the laptop is standing still on my desk. Don't bother sending me me that Fixing Internet Connection Problems link. I have done all that. I have unplugged the modem, then plugged it back in, restarted all Internet connections, refreshed my computer's Internet signal MANY TIMES. I'm not going to spend $10 dollars to talk to Technical Support over the phone, that's ridiculous. And I will not pay for service call when the technical issue was not caused by me. When the technician first installed it I didn't have any problems, nothing has changed in my residence, why should I pay it that is probably a Cox's issue??? That's just absurd. People in my family have had visits of Cox's technicians who simply didn't know what they were doing. If you send a technician to my place, make sure the person is knowledgeable about internet connections. I refuse to pay for a service when the issue was not caused by me. I already pay too much for a service that doesn't work properly. When I use wifi it curiously doesn't drop but I can't use wife for my work.
I'm a very disappointed and frustrated Cox's customer right now. I need this to be fixed.

Thanks for replying. I have set up a technical visit. I'll waste more time and money thanks to Cox. once again. Cox service is really really poor, technically and also the support. Cox likes to charge and avoid responsibility.
