Cox Security suite

I can't download the Cox / Mcafee Security Suite.  When I click on the link on Cox's web site, the site does not come up.

There are no reported issues for the Mcafee download. What is the URL you are being directed to when you trying to log into the Cox.net site?

Works for me via that link as of time of this post(not that I would EVER use a McAfee product). Can you include screenshot of error?

I'll get a screen shot.  What are you using instead of  Mcafee?

AVAST & AVG are two very good, free, antivirus solutions.  +1 to Teck's comment, I wouldn't use a McAfee product either.

Can you see if you can ping it? Windows + R > CMD > Tracert home.mcafee.com

Also, how are you getting to that link? When I go to the first link given, I get directed to a login which takes me to this link which shows the Mcafee page. If I go to home.mcafee.com/ssoauth?affid=636&culture=en-us (as shown in your screenshot) it takes me to this link which gives me a Intel/Mcafee security error:

A System Error occurred. Please try again.

On my personal PC? Nothing. But I keep a very tidy ship and have other methods of security. For anyone I help, I suggest AVG or Avast, with Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller, and HijackThis, which I save in a folder marked "Toolbox" on their desktop. Avast has started to push their paid version more, and AVG seems to have better Windows 10 support, so I have been using them more.

The truth about Norton and Mcafee is they pay big money to computer manufactures, ISP's(including Cox) and schools to get them to offer their software so they can better corner the market and gain brand recognition. Free virus/malware programs don't have this cost, so can function with lower overhead and still produce a superior product. Last, since Norton/Mcafee have such a large footprint, they are more prone to exploits.

@ChadO The URL given does not appear to be valid from our end and I can not duplicate it with other accounts at least. If you are still logged into your primary login can you try going to this page and seeing if it gives the same type of error message or pulls up the access to the security suite? ---
