Cox On Demand on Tivo C501 Error
I am new to Tivo, Phoenix area, got the C501 error from On Demand yesterday, not seeing it today. It appears that this happens to people on the weekends. Is there something that can be done to avoid this or am I stuck with it?

Does this help?
"I called tech support with the same issue, here is what solved the problem for me. Go to TiVo Central > Settings & Messages > Settings > Network and select Connect to the TiVo Service now. It will go through 5 stages; Preparing, Connecting, Getting Info, Disconnecting, and Loading info. When finished, they had me unplug the TiVo box and wait a full minute before plugging it back in. After the box rebooted, I did the same thing again. This time, when finished, the problem was solved. "
If not, my guess is it's the EOD system itself becoming backed up.

Please let us know if you still get the C501 error after going through those steps!

Forget using Cox On Demand on Tivo on Sunday eve/night through Monday late morning. (Arizona Time)
It has been down most every Sunday night for many months, I do hope Cox and TiVo eventually figure this out. It starts with severe latency Sunday afternoon, (Spinning Blue Circle), after multiple attempts it may be successful, then Sunday night (around 9pm or 10pm), it goes down completely, only returning the C501 Error.
Monday morning it starts working again as early as 8am or as late as 10am

Could it be thats when Cox uploads/syncs the OnDemand content to Tivo? Has anyone tried normal EOD when Tivo OnDemand isn't working?
Also, anyone know what the error means exactly? If Tivo's other codes are similar, then a C5 error would be a connection type, ip conflict.

No, the TiVo CoxVOD app syncs with the Cox OnDemand servers, every time any content is accessed, and the content does get updated at least daily. But there is usually a 1 day to 1 week delay in new content when I compare available content on the Cox Contour 2 app.
Cox VOD on my leased STB or Contour 2 app has never been out when the TiVo Cox OnDemand is down.
The TiVo C501 Error is a general TiVo server error, it is not specific to CoxVOD, But, if I uncheck (remove) the Cox OnDemand app from the TiVo Video Provider settings during these outages then the C501 Errors and the associated latency with the rest of the TiVo UI also go away. So there must be some specific link in the TiVo to Cox server connection that goes down every Sunday night.
I have been working directly with TiVo, marking my logs, documenting times and uploading the logs to TiVo for analysis for several months. TiVo thought they had a fix a few weeks ago, but it still persists.
The TiVo-Cox OnDemand outages used to occur on Friday night and be down until Monday morning. One would assume with this specific timing and very consistent behavior it would be easy to track down the broken link.
