COX going all Digital, not happy

One of the reasons I have stayed with COX and not switched to Verizon or go satellite was because COX included several

analog and a few "Clear Digital" signals on their cable.  Besides my 2 main TVs, I have 4 other TVs in areas that are used

very little, for example a exercise room which I use for 30 mins to maybe an hour, work shop and office area.

Please tell me I will be able to use my new Digital Clear Channel TVs with just the cable no BOX connected

to watch the basic and extended as I have been enjoying without additional fees.

There are only 2 people in my house.  Now I will have to pay an additional fee for tv's seldom used.

Unless COX can improve their overall pricing I see no benefit of staying with them.   The main reason

I never switch to Verizon was they required a BOX for each TV.   As far as I am concerned they are all the same

now.  Let the cheapest price win.

Ken,

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I am going to invest in HD antennaes for the extra tvs in my home so I can watch at least the local news. I am actively investigating ways to wean myself off cable. I am paying for 220+ channels, and I watch PBS, NBC, CBS, ESPN, and, occasionally,  NESN.  I think I am done with it.

Can the Mini-Box be purchased?  I would think over time it would offer a savings?

At this time a purchase option is not being offered.  I'll pass your suggestion along to our leadership.

PS, the picture I got with the mini box is horrendous. Direct cable to TV was fine. Plus, the first box I got was running super hot. Several channels were not showing up. Got a new one today and will see how this one is.
