Cox Contour App - why doesn't it have TVLand and TBS??
I have been using the TV Connect app for years and all of sudden when you open it you get a message that Cox is getting rid of it and to use the Contour App.
I have tried the Contour App previously but didn't like it because there's no way to see the guide while watching a program at the same time without affecting the picture, and also because when I'm watching a show that is not HD, it is frequently too blurry when shown full screen and there's no way to reduce the size. These are serious flaws in this app for me..
Last night I tried it again and realized that it doesn't even have the same channels the the TV Connect app does! It did not have TV Land or TBS both of which I watch on my ipad with the TV Connect app with no problem.
Why are they no longer there? And why can't I reduce the size of the picture to less than full screen when the picture is unacceptably blurry? Finally, why can't you make it so the guide can be viewed below or alongside the picture while I'm watching something, instead of a transparent overlay being placed on top?
I had plenty of problems with the TV Connect app; it freezes all the time, especially when there's something I'm really interested in. But I much prefer it to Cox Contour as it is much more user friendly.
I'm hoping somebody from Cox will address these issues because I think the Contour app is terrible the way it is.

Hello solstice,
I can certainly understand your frustration with having to use a different app. Sadly, the TV Connect app is going away. There are some channels that are not in the Contour App as you described. However, there are alternatives to accessing that content online. For instance, you can access TBS directly at http://www.tbs.com/watchtbs/
Thanks,

Thanks, but you did not address my issues with the blurry picture on some programs, or the annoying channel guide display design that makes you not able to see the show you are watching if you want to access the guide. The whole design is user unfriendly. I can watch TCM using its own app, too, but you still offer that in your channel line up.
Cox is reducing the functionality of the original app while acting like it's some great improvement, which it's not - not a very nice way to treat customers.
