Please tell me if you recommend
Cisco Model DPC3010 DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 Cable Modem
if I already have a D-Link DIR 615 router?
Do they make a good pair. I updated the router not long ago and would prefer only updating the modem portion.
Thank you,

When you ask if they are a "good fit" could you define what you mean? They will certainly work together. DIR-615 is a little long in the tooth, but its not a bad little router. What kind of performance are you looking for? I don't think the Dlink has enough bite for Ultimate, but should be fine for Preferred or even possibly Premier. Hope that helps.

The modem is on the current recommended list. http://bit.ly/CoxCompatibleModems
Though we technically shouldn't recommend one brand or model over another, the DPC3010 has long been basically the "default" standalone modem for our system.
As for the router, we only recommend that routers have a specific set of features, wireless-N or better and gigabit-Ethernet.
