cox cable box interferes with samsung anynet+

I have a Samsung TV and Blu ray player with anynet+ enable. When I plug in my Cox cable box all devices using HDMI the anynet+ functionality stops working properly. The anynet+ devices ae no longer recognized. Has anyone else had this problem and hopefully someone has found a solution. All my devices are connected using HDMI cables. For now I unplug the HDMI cable from the Cox cable box and the anynet+ works fine. I bought an HDMI switch to simulate unplugging the HDMI cable but that did not work.
