conture DVR is only recording part of program or not recording at all
I tried disconnecting the power to the cable box to reset the system and I ran the receiver test but still loosing part of recorded program or not getting the program to record. when I get done seeing a record show I delete the program so not an over storage issue any ideas on how to fix this?

I think you need a new DVR. Some of them are available at the nearest Cox Store. Contour 2 needs to be installed by Cox.
In the meantime, record each of your favorite shows twice. Set the DVR to record the HD channel and then set it again to record the SD (non-HD) channel. Usually one of them will record successfully.
