Contour 2 remote support

The Contour 2 Cisco 9865DVR has an active IR port on the back of the receiver. I am not aware of the need to access a menu setting to enable IR use. Since the Pace and Cisco receivers provide auto-IR programming for the TV when connected via HDMI, I would think IR is enabled by default. Some customers have reported successfully programming a third-party Universal remote using IR emitters connected to RF base stations.

What code did you use when trying to program your Nakamichi sound bar? Try the following steps:

1. Turn on the Nakamichi sound bar.
2. Press and hold the Setup button on the remote until the status LED at the top of the remote changes from red to green.
3. Type in the code for your audio device. The most likely code for a Nakamich sound bar is 31313.
4. If the code is entered correctly, the status LED will flash green twice. If the status LED blinks red, then green, the code was not entered correctly. Check that you are entering the correct code and try again.
5. Press the All Power button on the remote. If the audio device turns off, you have successfully programmed your remote to control your audio device.

After entering the code, does the status LED light flash green two times? I’m curious if the remote is recognizing the code.

 

I have tried the code 31313, two green lights, but the remote will not control the sound bar. 

please elaborate about the IR function. How would I use a Logitech harmony 650 which uses IR to control this box which is as I said a rebuild Cisco contour 1 box with different software.

At this time that is the only code we have available, but if new information is released the remotes website would be updated at www.remotes.cox.com. I'm curious to know, are you using the Harmony software to add the device to your remote or programming it another way?
