Contour 1 with no DVR- how to set the timer to change to channels at a later time ?
My old box ( from 2007 with no DVR ) used to let me set the timer to change to up 8 different channels. So I could set tv programs to come on either daily, M-F, a certain day of the week at a certain time, or a one-time channel change for a certain show, like a football game.
I just got a Contour 1 box ( no DVR ) , and I cannot find a way to do this. I only see set timer for Power On Timer Power Off Timer , and Set Reminders feature, where I can set to get a reminder message, but the system does not change the channel.
I called Cox tech service and was shown the Power On/Off Timer , but this does not help with what I need to do.
Is there functionality for this in Contour 1 ? If so please share technique. If not, what type of Contour set up do I need to be able to do this ? ty

The timer feature that you are looking for is not available on the Contour 1 or 2 platforms. Both Contour platforms allow you to set Reminder Notifications, but this feature will not automatically change the channel. Contour 1 has a Sleep Timer, a Receiver Power-on Timer, and a Receiver Power-off Timer.

Is there a way for me to get a replacement box like my older box and drop Contour ?
