Connecting iPhone to wireless data

My mothers iPhone will not connect to her wireless in her home neither will mine we get a message that says it cannot be found.   Now her iPad connects immediately.  Her phone connects to my wireless in my home instantly.   How do we get these to connect at her residence?

The first thing I'd try is resetting the router back to factory defaults and reconfiguring the SSID and network password if they don't come preconfigured.  If that doesn't work it may be necessary to check with the router vendor's support for further troubleshooting.

Just to confirm the obvious, I assume you have a wireless router at your mothers place? If so, what type is it?
