What?? Take a few deep breaths, and explain one problem at a time. Start with DVR model number, and whether or not this is wired for WHDVR.

It sounds like you're experiencing an intermittent trouble with the playback getting stuck in fast forward. I'd recommend a complete reset to the affected 8642HDC. Once the receiver is turned off, unplug the power to the Cable Box for 20 seconds. Allow the box to complete the reset till the front display shows the correct time. Proceed to power on the receiver and play back a saved recording. Please keep us posted on the status.

I usually do that when i have a problem, sometimes it takes a while to stop f/f & rewind when it's still recordiing so i have to watch comm. i hit the f/f for a sec. then play & it's still going & then the time bar doesn't pop up for a while, why does this happen. if i reboot it will stop recording the shows. should i just put on the channel, live tv & hit rewind to the beginning, will it work better, usuall;y it happens on a& e & history ch.
