Channel 10 (CBS)
Why does Channel 10 (CBS) go off the air around 7:pm. I get a "Temporarily off the air, Try back later" message on my HD-TV, but straight cable (no box)still airs it. This is happening more often now, it has happened a number of times in the past. I have called cox support and have not gotten the problem fixed. This channel just happens to be the one I watch most, especially on prime time 7pm to 10pm. Any answers?

Hello okcsiner,
Does this happen on multiple channels or just CBS? Also, are you leaving the TV on for long periods of time?
Thanks,

Channel 1003 CBS does the same to me as well. It has gone off air the past three Sundays at 1PM right before the football games play. Then it goes out at 8PM on weekdays when the most popular shows air. I'm forced to watch it on the regular channel 3 vs the HD channel.
No I don't have it on for long periods. This happens when I turn it on and want to watch a show.
It's the most frustrating thing ever, pay for the HD receiver and not get service during prime time shows.

I can see how frustrating that would be. Please complete the following to troubleshoot in order to allow us to investigate further.
1. Remove the cable line at the wall and at the back of the box.
2. Remove any splitters from the cable line leading into the receiver & make sure the cable line is a dedicated line going from the wall into the box.
3. Reverse the direction of the cable and reconnect from the wall to the box.
4. Unplug the power cord from either the back of the box or the wall outlet and leave unplugged for three minutes.
5. Plug the power cord back in and allow it to reload (approximately 3-5 minutes).
6. Test your channels and On Demand for any error codes or missing channels.
If this does not resolve, please email us at cox.help@cox.com & include your full name, complete address & a link to your post here.
