What kind of router do you have? Most will have a easy way to change the password, or you can even use WPS, but the log in password is tricky. Might need a factory default, but I wouldn't suggest that yet.
Go to your Router manufacturer's website and look up how or use a search engine and type "How do I change my router password for [router make and model]. Most routers have the default password and username printed somewhere in the docs that came with it, but those lists are readily available via a search too. Search "Default login for routers" or some such term.
Once you are in the interface, it's pretty obvious if you explore a little, but you can follow the instructions in the manual to change it. If you don't have one it's available at the router maker's site, I'm sure.
