The only option I know of is to switch to a Cox Business Plan, which doesn't cap. I just hope this doesn't turn into a "I hate caps YAR!!" flame war. No one likes Caps, but they are going to likely become the norm. Cox doesn't look like they are going to appose charges for overages anytime soon, which I am glad for. In the end, its their service, they can sell it how ever they want. One thing I did wish they did was make more evident on this screen, when people are comparing service.

Maybe send a email to their Corp office voicing your concern? The truth of the matter is they don't often send the warning, since they are only aware of it in areas where there is heavier use, and even when they send it, I have yet to hear of a case where they have enforced it. They can't say this outright of course, that would defeat the cap's warning. Basically I see it as Cox method of educating so people conserve bandwidth in areas where it is a premium. Just like water companies. But unlike water companies, you do have a choice who to buy from. So your doing exactly what you should do, voice your opinion then vote with your wallet.
I think Cox is just feeling out the waters, so if Verizon (the only main ISP I know of that doesn't Cap/throttle) doesn't start capping, and enough people move, I am sure Cox will also go unlimited. Its simple supply and demand. I can understand why people don't like caps, but I don't understand why people are surprised by them.

it's not even like i hit it every month, but the nerve of cox trying to tell me how much internet i can use is beyond me, especially when i pay for the absolute best they offer, they should be begging me to continue using them, as far as cable goes, cox is the only choice, but dish is right there, and sure i'll get higher ping, but if that's what it takes so be it!

Dish for internet? ::cringe:: Ouch. That rough man. Sorry you don't have other choices. Well good luck.
